Vista vs XP!

When a new operating system comes out, naturally, you would think: WOW! THE NEW WINDOWS OS IS HERE! I GONNA RUSH OUT TO THE SHOP AND BUY IT, IT MUST BE GREAT.

Hmm. Actually, If you have a brain, (which you may do) you would read about it first!

Maybe I am too late posting this, it did come out ages ago. If you are thinking of upgrading then please read and understand the following as I have tryed both Vista and XP.

(based on XP proffessional and Vista home premium)

VISTA:

Networking options: crap
Compatibility with other programs: crap
Security options: Too good (read later)
Speed: Slow as a slug compared to XP.

xp:

Networking options: Never had any problems!
Compatibility with other programs: Every program installs smoothly with no bugs providing your operating system is well maintained.
Security options: Good, but not so good that it annoys you to tears; blocking EVERYTHING which attempts to take place on your computer!
Speed: Fast

I dont suck (at leaste I didn't last time I looked)

Vista's speed depends on the spec of the computer
The message im trying to get through here is: If you have a kick-ass PC with Top spec
and if you wish to have constant Yes-No questions when you try and create a new folder
and if you dont want to use any sort of software
and if you Like a sluggish computer
and if you dont want to be able to download anything because everything is *)* potentially unsafe *(*

Xbox360

Naturally when GTA IV came out, I wanted to buy it. Like 80% of the population!

At the time, all I wanted to do was to try out all the BRAND NEW FEATURES of GTA IV. I wanted to play that game more than anything but there was still the problem of money. GTA IV is only available on Xbox360 and PS3 and as PS3s were much too expencive, I decided to buy a Xbox360. So I started doing research to find out what they were like and most of the searches came up with

RROD!!!

RROD (if you dont know) stands for Red Ring Of Death and it consists of 3 rings appearing at the front of your Xbox! This signifies that your Xbox is as good as dead. It is apparently caused when it overheats, Ive been looking up how to prevent this:

1: Don't play your Xbox too much. I dont want to be told how much to play with my 500$ Xbox, I buy it so I should be able to play it as much as I like!

2: Have a fan next to it Why the hell can't they make fans come with it? I shouldn't have to put a desk fan right next to my games consol, if they had built it right, it wouldn't need it.

3: Keep it in an airflowing room I DONT WANT TO KEEP MY XBOX IN A WIND TURBINE! I want it in my cosey room so I can play it in bed! Why should I have to put up with this.

So, after all that moaning, I didn't get one.

IF YOU ARE THINKING OF GETTING AN XBOX 360 THEN LOOK AT THE PRICES OF A PS3, BECAUSE WITH AN XBOX, YOU ARE JUST THROWING 250 POUNDS DOWN THE DRAIN.
